Capydent - a toothy tale, is a three-minute short that was made by my colleagues and friends, Stefanie Wittholm and Ana Carić and me. Made as a graduation project, it was nominated for “Monstera” film festival in Portugal and “Under the Radar” Festival in Vienna. We used adobe Photoshop, Animate, Audition, Premiere pro and After Effects to create it and had additional help with Foley and Score as credited at the end of the movie. The Story was written and storyboarded by me. I also designed the backgrounds and managed the production timeline.

Inspired by seemingly endless wisdom teeth related appointments the year before making the movie, the main characters are both dentists with different attitudes towards their work. The theme describes how two characters at odds with each other can end up really complimenting each other’s personalities. I could imagine these characters going on future adventures together while teaching the viewer all about working together and also good dental hygiene. While working on Capydent I felt the teamwork between my teammates, and I was almost as good as the one described at the ending of the short, and that was the best part.
